Tell us about your trip spent in South Africa:

After winning the IFC World Title, in which i was totally stoked on and shocked due to the fact that Wes and Laz are such good riders, i made my way down to Durban, South Africa and the Wave called the D-Rex. The worlds only double-point break barreling wave of its kind and i am here to shred, have fun and compete with all my mates from SA.

The Wave is both a left and right break and is unbelievable to have a left and right side. The guys in SA dont know how lucky they are to have a wave like they do. So far I have done a few things that are firsts... I have been snorkeling with sharks, something which i never thought i would do in a million years and also went on a game drive to the Natal Lion Park in which i got to take a photo with a live elephant, got to play with a giraffe, see tigers and cheetahs and we got chased in steve's car by lions! That by far was probably the craziest thing ever. The lion even left its teeth marks in the bumper of the car. It was an insane trip out here hanging out with Billy, Wes, Paolo, Andy and Dorin. The guys definately made my trip worth while and South Africa is so beautiful and definately a place i will visit again in the near future.

I also competed in the RAGE X event here and got a 1st in that event...winning myself R6,000 and a brand new Blackberry phone. We did Demo's on the wave almost every second night for the RAGE events which is like our spring break back in the states, so to say the least - the parties pumped at Wave House, Durban.

Thanks to everyone in SA for all the hospitality i was showed and to the Wave House for everything they have done for me whilst i was in South Africa. See ya all soon...
